Mahjbin I Majumdar

Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh July 1970 did her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kala Bhavana, Santiniketan.

Mahjabin’s work belongs to the world where present is juxtaposed with past, Her associations with the two places at the same time, the co-existence of her immediate surroundings, the everyday, and the memory & and dilemma of homeland, layered with bitter-sweet sense of loss are both caught between overlapped spaces of estrangement & togetherness, she continues to straddle the two worlds and wants her work to live in such a twilight zone of sensibility.
