Kaushik enlarges objects to emphasise its value in terms of social, political and utilitarian purpose. He picks up objects that maintain a close association with human life and which can be considered as indoor objects. He says that as he wants to show the vitality of these generally ignored objects by increasing their volume, mass and transforming these into a larger than life display. His concern is also associated with the experiment with how a particular material gives different essence to different objects. Recently he is working with Papier Mache made from waste paper. Kaushik says the content of his works are those every day object well as his choice of medium of paper pulp has similar perspective as paper pulp is of minor importance as a medium of sculpture.
